A legacy in Welsh hospitality
Since 1851, the Bunch of Grapes has been a Pontypridd landmark along the historic Glamorganshire Canal and positioned on the Taff Trail. Evolving from an industrial pub serving canal workers and the Brown Lennox Ironworks into a place celebrated for great food, exceptional beer and a warm Welsh welcome.
Becoming an independent gastropub in 2000 and home to the on‑site Cwrw Otley Brewery since 2022, the Bunch continues to champion craft, quality and local tradition.
Today, it blends historic charm with modern hospitality. Centred around the courtyard and working brewery, it offers freshly brewed beer, seasonal food and the character that has made it a local favourite for generations.
As a proud community hub, the Bunch works in partnership with local groups and businesses, providing a welcoming space for meetings and events that has true collaboration at the heart.

A Community Hub
The Bunch is a gathering place for local residents, visitors, community groups and independent businesses where people can connect, celebrate and share experiences.
From local events, workshops, inhouse artisan deli and collaborations through to informal gatherings with friends and family, community remains at the heart of what we do as we remain committed to supporting the people, producers and independent businesses that make our town unique.
